This Privacy Policy explains how Cody (also referred to as HeyCody, "Cody," "we," "us," or "our"), a service operated by Easy Ventures LLC, Suite R, 8th The Green, Dover, Delaware, USA 19901, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services.
Information We Collect
We may collect account details (name, email, workspace details), payment and subscription metadata, service usage data (logs, feature usage, timestamps), and integration data you authorize through third parties such as Google, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
How We Use Information
We use data to provide and improve Cody, operate integrations, authenticate users, prevent abuse, communicate service updates, and comply with legal obligations.
Third-Party Processors
Cody relies on third-party providers to deliver parts of the service. This includes Google, Slack, and Microsoft (Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Graph) for OAuth and integrations, Anthropic as our AI model provider that processes message content to generate responses, plus infrastructure and analytics providers used to run the platform.
Microsoft Teams
When you install Cody in Microsoft Teams, Cody accesses content only in the teams, channels, and chats where it has been added, using Microsoft resource-specific consent (RSC) and, where you grant them, Microsoft Graph permissions. This includes the message text and attachments sent in those conversations, and basic identifiers (team, channel, chat, and user IDs) needed to route and respond to messages. Cody uses this data solely to provide the assistant experience — reading messages addressed to it and generating responses. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train third-party AI models. Removing the Cody app from a team or chat stops further access to that conversation, and you may request deletion of stored conversation data at any time.
AI Processing
Cody is an AI assistant. Message content you direct to Cody is sent to our AI model provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. This content is processed only to provide the service and is not used by us or by Anthropic to train foundation models. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with law. You may request deletion of your account data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and monitored infrastructure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information and to object to or restrict certain processing.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
