Delete your Cody account or data
This page applies to Cody accounts used on the web and in the Cody Android app. You do not need access to the app to submit a deletion request.
How to request deletion
- Email us from the address associated with your Cody account at privacy@heycody.ink.
- Tell us whether you want the entire account deleted or only specific workspace or chat data.
- We may ask for additional information to verify that you control the account.
What is deleted
For a verified full-account request, we delete or de-identify the account profile and associated Cody workspace data, chat records, stored attachments, integration records, and mobile push registrations that we control. If you request deletion of only selected data, we will limit the request accordingly.
Information we may retain
We may retain limited billing, transaction, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or legal records where required or permitted by law. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until they are overwritten through normal backup rotation. Retained information is not used to continue providing the deleted account.
Subscriptions
Deleting data is separate from cancelling an active subscription. If applicable, cancel your Cody subscription in the web dashboard and mention it in your request if you need help.
